Sorry…

I know I promised Christmas pictures next, but we got a new computer, and I don’t know where the pictures are… But there are other things to post about, so never fear. Maybe at some point I’ll be able to do a Christmas and New Years post, but to see pictures of the latter event, visit Carissa’s blog.

Friday night was Pickle ball, which was fun. Althea and I played at least 11 games, and we won 5.

This picture is one of the three games we played with these two, and they beat us three times. But we were tired and the ball was literally falling apart, thus being unpredictable. It was still fun though.

For some reason, Josiah has been wanting to do sleepovers with his friends, so Suki slept over our house. The next morning, we went to the beach. It was so lovely.

After we went home and showered, we headed to the Ursu’s for a…

…Pancake party!! So much fun… 😀

IMG_3653

A few pyro-maniacs, as we refer to them when they do things like this. Yes, they are lighting their hands on fire via hand sanitizer. DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!

They did this cool thing where Josiah, Daniel and Nicky each had a pool of hand-sanitizer in their hand. Josiah put his hand in the fire, shook Daniel’s hand, who then shook Nick’s, passing the flame to each other. It worked! It was very cool. They put the fire out by shaking their hand vigorously.

IMG_3672

Cheryl watching. There were at least four girls, which may or may not have had something to do with the act… 😉

IMG_3682

The fire…

IMG_3664

Then we headed inside for supper! It was sooooo yummy. 😀

IMG_3709

Everyone promptly got in line 😀

IMG_3714

We went outside to eat by the fire, then after a while, went inside to play “signs”, a game we learned at New Years.

IMG_3716

Several of us enjoy playing musical instruments, so we whipped them out for a little jam before we left. 🙂

On Sunday, we had the Ruths over, as well as Wesley and Elisa Clarke, plus Ada and Althea. The Ruths have 11 children, 10 of whom were there, along with the parents… Full house=fun times. 😀 We had tacos. Yum!

IMG_3725

Later that day, (which we have no pictures of, unfortunately) all of us between 23 and 14 went over the Ursu’s again, to play volleyball, basketball and signs. We had a very fun time.

Monday was Bright Lights, after which we took more pictures…

IMG_3765

Then the Wimers left on Wednesday. We took *ahem* a few pictures. Or a lot of them. Ask me no questions and I’ll tell you no lies. 😉

Miss you two!!! ❤ Come back soon, ‘kay?

Now that I finally finished, I will bid you farewell, supper and Bright Lights await. 🙂

Blessings,

Thanksgiving

We had a nice thanksgiving, filled with food, family and friends. 🙂 We had two thanksgiving dinners, one at our cousin Brandy’s, the other at our house. Brandy’s dinner was hosted the Sunday before thanksgiving, so pictures of that come first:

There was this bounce house… I may or may not have spent the majority of the evening in there… Along with, um, siblings. The big ones. Haha. Who says you have to be little to enjoy a bounce house??? You won’t hear us say that… 😉

1924

David, drawing things for Matthew. They both love it. 🙂

Thanksgiving day at our house saw this:

Everything was delicious!

Sorry, this is waaay overdue. But hey, life happens. 🙂

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years! I know we did! I will be posting about the latter two very soon. 🙂

Camping Trip {Part Two}

Sorry. I got sick. Carissa and Hannah and Josiah are gone. Anyway, here is part two: the Animal Kingdom Lodge

So, we left the Grand Floridian, went on the Monorail and got off at Magic Kingdom, then took a bus from there to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was soo cool, especially the part where you could go outside and look at the animals. That is why there are so many pictures of there that I did a second post.

The Bus!

Pretty floors…

1375

And Ceilings

We all got kind of grumpy by the time we reached the campsite… it was dark, and we still had to make supper, which was steak. And it was really yummy.

Veggies…

Potatoes being seasoned.

1584

Yummy salad made from Cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and red onions.

1585

I think this was Carissa’s plate. It was delicious!!

1587

The next morning we took family pictures (a camping tradition) and then began packing up the campsite.

Of course, we had a yummy breakfast first. 😉

1612

Family picture… just pretend we don’t all look weird.

1653

The tent. We left the tent there, at the dumpster 😦

1664

The boys “helping”. You can see where we had the tent.

After we loaded everything up, we went to the pool to swim. After we changed, we drove home. We had a very nice time!

Next I shall post about thanksgiving, probably. But it might be a little while.

Lots and Lots of Pictures!! {Finally}

Yay! I finally have all the pictures on the computer from the last several months… expect several posts very soon.

1157

There were these really cool fans at the restaurant

Carissa, Hannah, and Josiah are leaving early Thursday morning to go to Central America for two weeks, prayers for them are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Happenings around the Mann’s

So, last time I posted was Esther’s birthday, since then, Cheryl turned fourteen! I will post pictures from the party we had for Esther and Cheryl, as well as whatever I feel like. 😉
Cheryl's Birthday etc 812

The moms and daughters preparing lunch/supper

Cheryl's Birthday etc 815

The boys. I came in here and saw them all crowded around a couple computers, got the camera and took a few pictures. It is just funny to me.

Cheryl's Birthday etc 816

The dads. The camera wasn’t out much, so this is pretty much it. The older girls had a follow-up Bright Lights leaders training meeting, which is why there are so few pictures. 😛

Cheryl's Birthday etc 820

For Chery’s actual birthday, we made this trifle… It was four layers: Brownie, Chocolate Ganache, homemade Raspberry Sauce, and homemade Whipped Cream. Three layers of that, and Tada! One delicious trifle. 😀

Cheryl's Birthday etc 822

I don’t know why Cheryl looks like that…

Cheryl's Birthday etc 828

Esther “sneaking” some raspberries off the top.

Cheryl's Birthday etc 838

There, now she looks normal. Kinda. That trifle was soooo good!

Cheryl's Birthday etc 855

A couple days after, we played Quirkle Cubes to celebrate some more.

Cheryl's Birthday etc 899

It is fun. 😀

Cheryl's Birthday etc 940

Papa, Matthew and Esther playing with some plastic animals. Papa was even using the squeaky voice! 😀

Cheryl's Birthday etc 947

Our friends gave Esther a pool for her birthday. She loves it, and so do William and Matthew. They go in a lot. 🙂

I made this salad for my lunch yesterday. It was almost as yummy as it looked. 🙂

Papa and Josiah are going on a missions trip to Boluxi in September. The group they are going with put on a pancake breakfast fundraiser. Papa cooked the pancakes.

Well, more things have happened, but I don’t feel like doing any more. So, there you go. Us. 🙂

Happy Birthday to Our Sweet Esther!

I can’t believe she is two!

IMG_6243[1]

She is so sweet…

IMG_6239[1]

So innocent… (Well, sometimes… 😉 )

IMG_6299[1]

Not to mention just plain adorable!

IMG_6382[1]

She loves water! Especially puddles.

IMG_6610[1]

She also likes chocolate chip pancakes. This was this morning. The plate she has is our family’s “Birthday Plate”.

Happy birthday Esther! We love you! Learn lots of words, numbers, and colors this year! Maybe you’ll be reading by this time next year. You like books enough. 🙂
